The portrait shows a young lady, slightly turning to the left against a neutral, brown background. The pink dress decorated with black lace, the hairstyle, the details of the pearl necklace all reflect the intimacy of this small portrait.
The oval pane framed with a leaf wreath on the scroll-shaped copper plate is decorated with putti holding palm branches on both sides and angel heads among rocailles on the top and the bottom on the top there is a hole decorated with a barnacle for hanging. This frame is more recent than the miniature, commissioned by its owner in the second half of the 19th century to replace the lost one. This is confirmed by the decorations picked from various periods, like the classicising leaf ornaments, the rocaille-surrounded angel heads and the difference in quality.
