The woman in Renaissance clothes has an ormolu body and a glass skirt of ormolu decoration. She holds two ormolu consoles, ending in dragon heads, which support a conical glass cup of ormolu setting. The dress of the figure is covered with Renaissance foliage of ormolu, starting from the central, six-petalled rosette. This motif is repeated six times on the skirt. The setting of the glass cup is constructed of the same motifs. The decoration of the object was modelled on sixteenth century goldsmiths' pieces from Augsburg. An analogous piece of an unidentified private collection is published in W. Spiegl: Glas des Historizmus. Braunschweig, 1980 p.236, pict.278.
