The body stand on a hexagonal plinth, which is lined with a Gothic-type frieze of leaves. There is a little hole in the middle of the plinth, to place the candle or the lucerna. A separate, hexagonal, tower-like body of pierced, relief tracery windows can be fit to the plinth. There are small spear ornaments above the corners, with traces of gilding. The cylindrical top has a round cavity in the middle.

In case of similar pieces of romantic castle-tower shape, small kettles were put over the cavity to use the warmth provided by the candle or the lucerna. On this object, the relief window frame encloses a thin porcelain wall, and thus the windows shine if the candle is lit inside.
