The prismatic alabaster plinth, decorated with ormolu mounts at the front and on the edges, stands on four, ormolu bun feet. It supports the die-shaped, alabaster case, which is enriched with ormolu mounts. Three alabaster books and an ormolu lucerna appear on its top. An armchair with four legs joins the case with an ormolu application, with two alabaster books beside it. A female figure sits in the armchair, reading. The case stands on paw feet it is framed by Arabic numerals, while the middle is ormolu, chased with waves and equipped with three arms. The inscription at the bottom says: „P. Rau in Wien".
