The head of the mace is covered with bent silver plates applied on a cylindrical wooden core, the rod is ribbed, ending in a flattened ball. The precious stones are imitations of turquoise and garnet. It may be assumed, that the following item of the 1696 year inventory of the Esterhazy treasury in Frakno deals with this work: "Sceptrum Argenteum deauratum lapidibusque Tyrkesys granatisque exornatum" — (OL.
