The four carved legs form mermaids. There are traces of gilding on the faces and bodies of the figures. The head panel of the elongated, prismatic couch is higher than the foot panel. Its bowed back frame is painted in ink with a round medal-lion among symmetrical flowers, showing a sit-ting putto with a dove in its hands. The curved foot panel is decorated with ink-painted figures in the middle of the inside: two dancing putti among branches of flowers, clusters of grapes and blossoms. To the left there is a putto sitting on a bench, playing the lute, while on the right is another putto sitting on the ground, playing the flute. The two sides of the seat-rail and the triangular side fields of the head-panel are inlaid with brass, showing palmette, leaf and blossom motifs.
