The wrought iron sign of a locksmith’s shop models a large padlock with the inscription: Gyula Csengery – master locksmith. The padlock is interlaced with naturalistic ornaments (plastic oak leaves, acorns, tendrils) from which a large key hangs. In the first half of the 20th century this sign announced the workshop in Várfok street of the craftsman Gyula Csengery, whose works – the relatives claim – mainly adorn buildings in and around Pozsonyi street. This wrought iron piece was donatedt o the museum as a gift by the master’s descendants.
