The cup has a truncated cone shape, with a gilt, embossed ring on each side. Roses on a golden base run along the top rim, while the bottom rim is lined with laurel wreaths. Marked in blue on the bottom with the crowned marking of the Petersburg factory, forming the initials of Katherine II.
