The cup is of truncated cone shape, with a gilt, embossed ring on each side. There are roses running along the top rim, while the bottom rim is lined with laurel wreaths. Marked in blue underglaze on the bottom, with the crowned marking of the Petersburg factory, forming the initials of Katherine II.
