The dish consists of four parts: plinth, bowl, lid and inlet. On the rising part, the plain, round hollow plinth is decorated with engraved vine leaves against a punched base. It stands on four broad, fluted legs. The round, jointed foot of the bowl is engraved with a frieze. It has a plain cone and a plain, drooping collar below the bowl. There is a curved, cast double handle on each side, joining the bowl with a lobed cornet. The inlet is plain, with an oval finial on each side. The domed part of the lid is decorated with motifs similar to those of the plinth. An embossed bunch of snow drops appears on the top. According to the previous owner, the lid was decorated with the engraved coat of arms of Count Janos Mikes, bishop of Szombathely, which was later removed. Marked separately with town and maker's mark on each part.
