On an ivory-coloured ground can be seen a chinoiserie scene with three figures around it are coloured flowers. On the left, in a wooden frame, there is a blue, monochrome-painted riverside landscape with a Chinese figure in a rowing boat. On the verso—on a partly gold, sprayed ground—is a peach tree in blossom vases and fans are strewn about. The sticks display chinoiserie ornamentation matching that of the leaf. On the guard-sticks a Chinese figure sits above flowers and parts of pink, floral cartouches.
