Three irregular medallions break up the green and silver leaf, which has rich, embossed, Neo-baroque ornamentation. In each of these medallions an idyllic scene is portrayed. In the middle scene young men are putting a wreath on a goat in the left one a young man is placing a cloak over the shoulders of his sweetheart, while in the right scene two ladies are playing with a little girl. On the verso the male member of a couple out walking chooses a flower from a girl's basket. Among the leaf and festoon embellishments on the sticks are almond-shaped leaves. A pink silk cord and tassel are attached to the handle. There is a fan with identical sticks in the collection at Hamburg's Altonaer Museum (Cat. No. 1974, No. 31, fig. 21).
