The sombre-coloured—for the most part black, grey and brown—leaf is framed by a series of Rococo flowers, which expand into rich ornamentation on the two sides. In the middle is a company wearing clothes fashionable in the second half of the 17th century, along with black masks: two couples, a lady and a child with a dog can be seen in a landscape setting. The attire of the protagonists is enlivened by purple and very faint yellow. In the middle of the black verso is a bouquet made from light-coloured flowers with blue leaves along the edges there is a row of leaves. The black serpentine sticks are unembellished.
