The rectos of the sticks, which are lobular at the top, are ivory coloured, while the versos are wood patterned. Above the ribbon are portraits of the allied rulers and war leaders of the Central Powers during the First World War. Hence, among others: General Hindenburg Archduke John Ferdinand Archduke Frederick Emperor William II Francis Joseph Frederick William, German crown prince and Archduke Joseph. On the right-hand guard-stick is a piece of paper with the inscription: Emlek / a Pasareti loveszarokbol / 1915 = Souvenir from the trenches of Pasaret, 1915. The maker was identified on the basis of a marked example.
