The four splaying, fluted cylindrical feet shod with bronze. They are decorated with bronze garlands of flowers. The chest of three drawers is shaped as a standing prism its front edges are rounded. An applied bronze decoration of leaves and flowers appears on the front, under the marble top. The drawer panels and the sides are decorated with plain rectangular fields, enframed by mountwork of bronze. The keyhole shields are with plaits and garlands, while the bronze drawer pulls are decorated with leaves and rosettes. The top drawer is covered with a leather writing plate, showing a running dog on top. It contains a tray for the pen and compartments for the ink and the sand. The CB marking of the mounts appear under the marble top, on the right upper frieze.
