The four legs are curved outwards at the bottom, with a majolica plate in bamboo frame screwed to the top and to the bottom. The plate is decorated with an old looking building surrounded by a blossoming apple bough. The end of the bamboo rods are shod with metal. The majolica is marked under glaze with hand-painted 19(3)w53. At the end of the 19th century, bamboo furniture were available at Gröber's, in the downtown of Budapest. His shop was in the Haris Bazaar, at 4 Koronaherceg (today Sándor Petőfi) Street.
