A flat, slightly splayed, prismatic case with rounded edges. The cover opens on hinges, with a stirrup finial. The foot, the cover and the aperture are lined by jointed rims. The decoration is of leaf and scrolling ribbon motifs, with masks and shells. Two sides of the body are decorated with large cartouches, the cover with small ones. On one side they show the figures of Venus and Amor, with a rabbit above them on the other we can see Diana, above her a partridge. The necessaire holds the following objects: a pocket knife, the handle of which is covered with gold plate, decorated with similar motifs to the ones described above a pair of scissors, with a gold stem a pair of tweezers, combined with a nail-file, the tips covered with gold a pen and pencil holder, a gold scoop, small ivory plates held together with a golden nail and a gold threading needle.
