The upturned, bell-shaped cup stands on a high, ring foot it is decorated with a rich variant of the Ming-decor, painted with polychrome enamel. There is a female figure, sitting among furniture, holding a fan in her left and a paper scroll in her right, while the other side of the cup shows two children playing. The inside of the rim is lined with wavy tendrils and leaves in gold, enframed with red. (One of the cups was made without handle the handle of the other shapes a human figure.) Dated with blue 859 on the bottom.
The large surface of the saucer has a narrow rim, lined with gold tendrils enframed with red. The central picture is identical with the scenes painted on the cup the two playing children and the two rabbits are placed on the ground, in front of the female figure. Marked with Herend and 4 decor number pressed in blue on the bottom.
