Armchair: the decoration is almost identical with the settee its seat rail shows twisted rows of ribbons and leaves, while the frame of the back sup- port is carved with twisted ribbons among rosettes. The curved arm rests are upholstered in the middle they are carved with rows of acanthus leaves and coins, stemming from the front legs. The arm rests are supported with a curved section. An impressed mark G JACOB of 4-5 mm appears in the middle of the front seat rail. Analogous pieces, also signed by G. Jacob, can be found in the Fontainebleau Castle in the Mobilier National and in private collections in Paris, and also in the Museum of Art in Cleveland.
