The reverse of the shield-shaped ladle is the starting point of the handle with a spear-point continuing in a putto head. The cast prismatic handle with six sides is decorated with a putto head and a herm, in a lozenge at the join. The finial is in the form of an antique male bust, surmounted by an extra button.
