The spherical jug stands on a narrow tin-set base. The neck is cylindrical, and there is a curving handle. The turning pewter lid has a palmette knob and a small, added finial. Painted in blue, green and yellow, contoured in manganese, on a white background. Stylized flower stems and the date 1659 appear on the two sides.
