The bowl of the dish is divided into bands by painted decoration. The base and the neck have decorative circles the broad middle band is decorated with an inscribed twisted scroll in a floral-leaved field. The inscription reads as follows: DER WEIN IST GUT ER MACH(T) MANKHEN GÜLN MUT.
The top is ornamented with rays and undulating lines. The splayed lip is dated 1532. The handle is decorated with painted dots and forms an S-curve. The lid has a knob finial and a palmette tipping knob.
