Fluted bowl, in the shape of a melon. The handle, twined from two ribbons, fits to the ringed neck. The base has a silver band, decorated with engraved palmettes. The dome-shaped lid is of silver-gilt it is joined to the handle with a double pointed tipping knob of leaf-decoration. Knob finial.
