The cylindrical bowl with a rectangular handle stands on four feet. The spout and the feet are gilt. The confronting sides of the bowl are painted with a mythological scene: Venus and Adonis, surmounted by three stripes of gilt tendrils. The dominant colours are: red, blue and pink. Marked on the bottom, in blue underglaze, with the marking of the Viennese factory. There is an inscription „Venus et Adonis” and the initials „N.V.” on the bottom, painted in black and red over glaze. The cover has a gilt pine finial.
