This rather anachronistic object, made for tournament, was rare in the 17th century. It may be as-sumed that the following item of the 1725 year inventory of the treasury of the Esterházy family in Fraknó refers to this object and those of Catalogue Nos. 2.9, and 2.10.: "A pair of silver belts with helmet and brassard and the adjoining strap. All these are set with different kinds of precious stones..." (Inventarium Thesauri Fraknensis Anno 1725. Almarium Sub. Nris. 9 et 10. Nro. 6. — Inventory of the Museum of Applied Arts 236/1957). The item of the inventory is published and it is assumed that these weapons must have belonged to the equipment of the army taking part in the siege of Buda.
