The broad foot rises in a conical shape in the centre, supporting the stem which has an up-turned pear knob at the top. The cylindrical body widens towards the top. The cover is shaped as a tower dome, jointed, with a pear-shaped knob at the top, repeating the motif of the stem. The whole cup is covered with faceted, geometrical motifs (after the paring of the top opaque layer): circles, ogees, drop motifs and semicircles. The faceted motifs reveal the bottom layer of the transparent glass the remnant of the opaque layer is richly gilt, with arabesque decoration. The contours of the faceted motifs and the top rim are also gilt. The shape and the faceted decoration of the object is Gothic, while the gilding gives it an oriental effect. The cup is an outstanding representative of Bohemian Gothic-oriental glasses both in technique and in the artistic quality.
