The conical foot has a wavy edge it supports a ball-shaped cup, resembling the eighteenth century Römers. The foot rim is decorated with a glass thread rolled while hot and frilled with pliers. The stem is enriched with glass drops, stamped in raspberry shape and applied while hot. The foot and the line below the top rim is decorated with a border of stylised plants, painted in polychrome enamel. The cup shows cornflower, lion's tooth and other flower motifs. Another Giergl glass (Inv.No. 1154) in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts has extremely similar decoration, also painted in transparent enamel.
