On behalf of the Glass Industry Works, several factories participated in the system-based design experiment of the Kitchen Program for Prefabricated Houses. At the Karcag Glass Factory, popular products were born under the Termover brand name, which were also referred to by the profession and customers as "the Hungarian jénai" [Hungarian for denoting something originating from Jena, Germany]. In Karcag Katalin Suháné Somkúti designed dishes made of heatproof glass, which is based on the patent of Zoltán Veress (1901–1965), in these dishes meal could be baked and served as well.
For more information about the story of the Termover heatproof dish set, see Object Fetish Part 5.
