Fireplace (mantle) clock

There is a semicircular plinth of white marble on the side of the elongated, prismatic clock. Its sides and top are decorated with ormolu. There is a sitting bronze figure on each side of the escapement: a young man writing and a young girl reading a book. Both figures are patinated with brown lacquer. The escapement is surmounted by an ormolu eagle with spread wings. Marked on the dial of the clock: „Balthazar Paris”.
