In the middle, framed by a row of spangles, is a garden scene in a quatrefoil medallion: a company of three persons - two ladies and a young man - are drinking wine at the foot of a garden structure topped by an ornamental vase. To either side of the medallion, above a crossed arrow and quiver, is a basket of flowers with doves. From the bottom edge of the medallion two branches in blossom stretch on either side to the edge of the leaf. In the middle of the sticks—which are alternately wide and narrow—is a young couple among leaves, rosettes and love symbols, as well as distinctive, sphere-like ornamentation. On each of the guard-sticks, above a garland of flowers, sits a small figure.
