On the leaf, embellished with gilded and blue flowers and with tendrils, there are idyllic scenes in frames resembling Baroque violin-shaped windows. In the middle one, at a well, stand two girls, one of whom is receiving the attentions of a young man, on account of a broken jug at the girl's feet. On the left two girls play with a bird released from a birdcage, while on the right a young man is showing a girl a bird perched on his finger. The upper edge of the leaf is bordered by white feathers. The sticks are unembellished, but on the right-hand guard-stick, at the top, is a small oval mirror framed in gold. A silk tassel on a blue-and-white cord is attached to the sticks.
