Three medallions divide up the uncoloured leaf. The one in the middle is quartrefoil in shape, and those to either side oval. The medallions are framed in a ribbon-like way by loose rows of spangles between gold braid. The medallions are linked together by similar ribbon, this time sewn with coloured spangles, and this ribbon, ascending to form pedestals, supports a blazing torch and quiver on the one side and a blazing torch, quiver and two blazing hearts on the other. Above each of these depictions is a pair of doves kissing and a dove holding a garland of roses in its beak, respectively. A laurel branch flanks the middle medallion on either side and all elements of the composition are linked together by a pink band. Towards the edges of the leaf are bouquets of flowers. In all three medallions is a figure sitting beneath a tree: in the middle a young girl flies a little bird on a ribbon, on the left there is a young man holding a shepherd's crook tied with bows of ribbon, and on the right there is a girl holding a basket. On the verso some of the main elements of the embellishments on the recto are repeated using sketch-like brushstrokes, and in the medallions there are flowers. In the middle of the sticks is a rosette flanked by laurel branches above a young couple. Next to them on either side there are doves flying and then a lady with a birdcage and bird. On the two outermost sticks there is an altar to love. On the guard-sticks there are love symbols at the bottom and pierced carvings on mother-of-pearl covering at the top: above a young man plucking a lute there is a portrait of a lady in a hat, in an oval frame.
