The white leaf bears a design made up of various flowers. Three irregularly shaped point de gaze medallions interrupt the design. In the middle of each medallion is a rose. The pinkish, chatoyant sticks are unembellished. On the basis of the rudimentary pattern on the leaf and of its imperfections of technique, this is the work of an unpractised—amateur—hand the leaf was one that could be worked at home onto readymade sticks.
