The Empire-style embellishment of the leaf, made of up a combination of uncoloured silk and gold net, is provided by festoons and wreathes, on a ground scattered with stars. The array of motifs is made even richer by the different finishes on the spangles, which are of varying shapes (disks, stars, almonds, flowers, and so on). There is Rococo ornamentation on the sticks. The box does not belong to the fan.
