On the white and pastel-lilac background gilded Late Baroque ornamentation gives rise to three large cartouches, and between them, at the top, four smaller ones. In the middle cartouche there is a pastoral idyll featuring four protagonists: three young ladies and a young man. On either side a garden scene with three protagonists—two ladies and a man—can be seen. The smaller cartouches are embellished with garlands of roses and landscapes. On the verso, amidst silver and bronze ornamentation, there are three cartouches featuring a romantic riverside scene and young ladies playing with a bird. The ornamentation on the sticks—leaves and flowers with four petals—is almost identical to that on MAA inv. no. 71.40 (Cat. No. 104).
