On the leaf, which at the top is framed by lobular lace motifs and which is divided up symmetrically by lace flowers, there are three medallions. These contain miniatures painted in pastel colours: in the middle one young girl pursue a butterfly, on the left a lady decks a statue of Amor with a festoon of flowers, and on the right there is a young woman with her child in her arms. The chatoyant sticks, which present a continuous surface when the fan is opened, are unembellished.
