In the middle of the leaf, which is edged with small blue flowers with leaves and a line of spangles, an oval engraving set in a pink field depicts a young man conversing with two ladies in a garden. On both sides a fruit still life encompassed by roses and other flowers can be seen. Ivory and mother-of-pearl sticks alternate with each other: on the ivory ones trailing flowers and zigzag motifs form the decoration, while on the mother- of-pearl ones the embellishment—ladies and young gallants—is figural. The lower part of the guard-stick is mother-of-pearl, while the upper part is ivory on it stands Amor(?) between doves on the wing and a basket of flowers.
