The palmette-shaped leaf is fashioned from a combination of white silk and gold net. In the middle there is a symmetrical composition, a stylized plant motif pouring forth in a fountain-like way. This is flanked on either side by intricate ornamentation consisting of scallop motifs and flowers. Small golden spangles of various shapes and finishes-flat and convex disks, stars, flowers, and almonds—lend magnificence to the ornamentation. The sticks, the edges of which display scalloping, are embellished with love-symbols tied together with ribbon.
