The once blue leaf is divided into five fields by a series of arches above these is a strip of tulle appliqué, on which intersecting arches impart a Gothic character to the ornamentation. Beneath each of the three middle arches is a flower motif, in the centre of which there is likewise a piece of tulle appliqué. The sticks are embellished with flowers and wreaths of leaves painted in gold. The guard-sticks are embellished with steel inlay. Similar to MAA inv. no. 59.891 (Cat. No. 85) and the analogies listed therewith.
