The upper edge of the lilac-coloured leaf is bordered by two rows of spangles. In the middle, between two geometric embellishments opposite each other—these recall wheat sheaves leaning in opposing directions— there is a small, irregularly shaped lace inset. The sticks are unadorned. On the lower end of the guard-sticks there is bone appliqué, while on the upper parts there is a narrow bone border. A piece with a similar lace inset is MAA inv. no. 57.883 (Cat. No. 88).
