In the middle of the circular leaf consisting of white feathers is a bouquet of flowers fitted in amidst fluff. The bouquet, consisting of colourful humming-bird feathers, is in an ornamental vase woven out of feather-shafts. The handle of the fan consists of a bundle of feather-shafts put together so as to resemble a column. On the verso sits a humming-bird in a nest of fluff.
