At the top the flower and rose motifs of the lace frame are interrupted, in six places, by a grid pattern. On the leaf there is an idyllic scene painted in pastel colours: beneath a winter branch with white flowers a young girl dressed in white sits on a garden seat. She is resting her left elbow on the back of the seat hanging from between her fingers is a little twig. With head lowered she smiles at a flowering bush in front of her. On the seat beside her is a tambourine with ribbons and colourful flowers. On the right side of the leaf dance two winged putti clutching each other. Beneath the putti is the mark: Larsen. The signature can be associated with Carl Christian Larsen (1853—1910), a Danish-born artist who worked in Vienna.
