This is one of the early ex libris pieces of Lajos Kozma, reflecting the linear style and symbolic attitude of Art Nouveau. It combines the symbols of birth and death in a united composition, enriched with the well-known Kozma motifs: the wooden- steeple Transylvanian church and the headboard.
