Satin, with brown, white, red, beige and white stripes on a green base. The bodice is tight, stiffened with fishbones, reaching down to a point at the front and back. The wide neckline reveals the shoulders there is a pleated, pointed „berthe” round it. The name of the tailored, collar-like shoulderline of a hand's width probably originates from the mother of Charles the Great, Queen Berthe (+1783). It was gain in fashion in the 1830’s and 40’s. The bodice is closed with strings on the back. The sleeves consist of two parts: it is short, set in at the upper arm, trimmed with pleats and then continues in a detachable, long, funnel-shaped, slit sleeve, which fits the top part with a ribbon. The „berthe”, the short and long sleeves, are decorated with woven silk ribbon of red and green diagonal stripes. The silk ribbon is crossed in the slot of the sleeves. The skirt is long, loose and pleated.
