This set of three pieces (a pair of door panels, one consisting of two parts) used to have a lock and a door knob. The long, rectangular panels are pierced with the same motifs: a pot with plants at the bottom, surmounted by parsley-like stems, with tiny shrimp pairs in between. The curved top imitates a stylized, grotesque human face. The door fittings by Theodore Lambert were purchased by the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts at the 1900 Paris International Exhibition, together with an armchair (Inv.No. 5923) and a shelf (Inv.No. 5404). The latter has a pierced decoration similar to those on the panels. The series was already exhibited at the 1899 Paris Salon.
