The narrowing, rectangular box stands on four prismatic feet. The sides are covered with vertical, elongated, symmetrical leaves. The cover, bordered by wavy tendrils, depicts a female figure in a loose skirt and a feathered hat, holding a monkey in her lap and a parrot on her hand. The squared copper handles were partially made of turned wood they join the side of the box with straps. There is an inscription engraved on the inner edge of the rim: «VIEL LIEBCHEN ... HERBST 1913 / Dr. H.M.»
