The rim of the flat plate is pierced with plant ornaments. The concave surface presents a female bust, shown from the right profile, with a slightly protruding relief pattern.

The glaze is collected in the deeper parts, thus enhancing the relief nature of the portraits with the darker yellow shades.

According to the remarks in Teréz Zsolnay's notebook (Pécs, Janus Pannonius Museum, Inv.No. 1578-91-1584) at façon number 3430, the plate was also produced with a plain (painted) surface, and was designed in 1891.

Companion piece, depicting a male bust: Inv. No. 1287.
