The rim of the plate is finely pierced the plate was used for serving the dessert. Its production started in the mid 1830's in Munkacs the original model was brought here from Germany by Valentin Willaschek, the designer of the Munkács smelting works, although it is also possible that it was bought through Vienna by the owner of the factory, Count Schönborn.
The middle of the plate is decorated with a cross-shaped, spread acanthus leaf, enclosed by connected keel arches. The rosette-shaped middle is joined by four, connected, scrolling tendrils. The double, parallel border of the rim shows fine plaits. On the reverse, the bottom rim of the round middle is slightly domed, with a repousse MUNKÁTS marking in the middle.
