The top and foot diameters are identical the cup narrows in the middle. The bottom is decorated with oval faceting, while the surface shows motifs of silver staining and gilding: sun, with a "bon jour" inscription in the middle. There are two gilt stripes above the bottom and a silver-yellow field of gilt stars below the top rim. The field is framed with a gilt line at the top and a wave at the bottom. A cup of identical shape and a similar decoration is now in the Hamburg Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe.
