The splayed glass stands on a broad foot with cogwheel faceting it is a typical example of the Ranftbecher type of Kothgasser's glasses, the middle of the bottom is decorated with faceted and silver stained star motifs the surface shows mainly gray and partly blue, red and green paint-ing: the picture of the Stephansdom in Vienna. There are pedestrians, a cart and two horsemen in front of the building. The picture is enframed with silver varnish and gilt, stylised, flowery boughs. There is a line of keel arches of similar technique below the top rim. A gilt inscription runs along at the top of the foot: Domkirche zu St Stephan in Wien.
